The bloody Battle for the South Downs
was fought between Conor, Mat,
Chuck and Brian in the "Darkness Over Angmar" Lord of the Rings campaign.
While Cardolan routed Arthedain from the field, the would be victors were in
no condition to face a fresh army of Grey Haven Elves as the day drew to a close.

Battle
For Grey Mountain Mines: A prequil to the "Darkness
Over Angmar" Summer Campaign.
Goblin migrations into the Grey Mountains have threatened
the few remaining dwarven mining sites in the vicinity
of Mount Gundabad. After lost contact with his miners,
the Dwarven King at Carn Dum personally leads a 300 point
force of his royal guard, warriors and archers to rescue
his kin from the tide of Goblin infestation. Having not
tread these mountain passes in years, his force becomes
dispersed. But as he converges his army to the entrance
of the mine where his kin have shut themselves in from
outside attack, an opposing force of Goblins (300 points)
begin to emerge from the many caves in the area. Can
the King and his Dwarves fight their way through the
Goblins to secure the mine and threatened kin? And
so the stage was set for a "Take and Hold" mission
fought between Matt and Eric (the Dwarves) and Brian
and Ethan (the Goblins) on the newly made 4x4 ice mountain
terrain board. Played in about 1 1/2 hours, we fought
a great game that resulted in a bloody draw.

Though still a work-in-progress, the campaign
map has been updated and deployment zones set for each
army. I am now working on initial army sizes and campaign
event cards. April
