Game Scenarios
Players will be given their scenarios at the start of
each game based on table assignement, which will intitally
be randomly determined. The scenarios have been designed
by Games Workshop staff specifically for tournaments
and provide some intersteing and unique gaming opportunities.
Specifically, the Game vault "Young Bloods" Warhammer
40K tournament will draw from the following scenarios:
Arch Rivals (PDF)
Opposing army commanders are bitter rivals and have longed
for the opportunity to face each other in battle!
The Hunted (PDF)
Both enemy players pick one enemy selection, with the
exception of HQ's. This enemy army selection has now
become the target of your whole army and is worth double
victory points!
Unplanned Assault (PDF)
The fog of war has prevented both armies from receiving
their orders from High Command. But as the situation
begins to clear in Turn 3, each army may find themselves
tasked with a mission they were not prepared for.
Suicide Squad (PDF)
Every army has a unit that's overly eager for battle.
Can your commander control this squad or will they
frontal assault into victory?
Archeotech Excavation (PDF)
Within the ruins of the battlefield lie the protected
remains of an ancient artificat that will help win
the tide of war. Will your troops recover the trophy,
or will they be caught in an alien booby trap?
Twilight (PDF)
Night closes in over the battlefield and hampers visibility.
Will you win the day before the alien suns set?
Examples of Game Scoring
The scoring of games will use the Victory Points rules
found on p. 85 of the Warhammer 40,000 rulebook. Additionally,
each scenario will have bonus or penalty points based
on the results of the mission.
